Nanobrows offer a more refined version of PMU like microblading, using an ultra-fine machine needle to create soft, realistic strokes with long-lasting results and gentler healing.

  • Master Brow Artist

A little about me, the brow-obsessed face behind Gooseberry Lounge. I’ve been in the beauty industry since 2018, starting as an aesthetician and falling deeply in love with the art of natural, low-maintenance beauty. As a certified permanent makep artist, I specialize in creating timeless, effortless brows - and honestly, I’ve probably been drawing them in the margins of notebooks since I was a kid. This studio is my calm little corner of creativity and I can’t wait to share it with you.

FAQs

  • They typically last 2-3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare/skincare. A touch-up is recommended every 12-24 months to maintain the shape and colour.

  • Most clients say it’s more of a mild discomfort than pain. We use high-quality numbing cream to keep you comfortable throughout the session.

  • Initial healing takes about 7-10 days, with full healing around 4-6 weeks. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to help your brows heal beautifully.

  • Nanobrows use a machine, which is gentler on there skin and works well for all skin types, especially oily or mature skin. Microblading users a manual tool and is best for dry to normal skin.

• Have uncontrolled diabetes or a bleeding disorder

• Are currently undergoing chemotherapy or have recent cancer treatments

• Have active skin conditions near the brow area (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, etc.)

• Use blood-thinning medications or Accutane (must be off Accutane for at least 12 months)

• Have a history of keloid scarring or poor healing

• Are allergic to pigments, lidocaine, or topical anesthetics

Not a Candidate For Brow Lamination If…

To protect your natural brow health, lamination isn’t recommended if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Have very sparse brows or minimal brow hair

• Have extremely sensitive skin or are prone to reactions

• Have active acne, eczema, or broken skin in the brow area

• Recently had a chemical peel, microblading, or Botox (within 2 weeks)

• Are using strong actives (like retinol, AHAs, or prescription topicals) around the brows

We can explore gentler options like a soft wax and tint to enhance your natural shape safely!

Not a Candidate For Brow Waxing If…

Waxing isn’t suitable if you:

• Are using retinoids (like Retin-A or tretinoin) or strong exfoliants near the brow area

• Are sunburned or have had recent sun exposure

• Have super sensitive or reactive skin

• Are using acne medications like Accutane (must wait at least 6–12 months after use)

• Have very thin or fragile skin in the area

In these cases, we may recommend a gentle tweeze or trimming session instead to keep your brows looking fresh without irritation.
